456 Queen St West Melbourne, 3000

When Homer Simpsons crave for doughnut or even sense for doughnut near by, he will make his iconic "Hmmmm doughnut". Well, I am no difference Hmmm doughnut.

Doughboys Doughnuts
Doughboys doughnuts is hidden away at West Melbourne. It's in the same location as Fancy Hank's BBQ Joint. Well correction, it almost like Fancy Hank's BBQ runs Doughboys doughnuts. Therefore, it was not surprise to see other people eating their BBQ meat.

The dough was pre-made. When the doughnut is order the waiter will "dress up the dough" and place the flavor we requested. Despite variety of flavors option, all doughnut cost $4.50 AUD each. Between me and my friend we decided to goes with one doughnut each. We ordered Double D and Butterscotch Ban

Butterscotch Ban and Double D
The texture of the doughnut dough was just perfect. Little bit rubbery, light but not too heavy little fatty but not overly, simply spot on. Beware though this doughnut is almost like the take on of the classic American doughnut. Therefore the dough was nice in the American version of doughnut.
For me, I like my butterscotch flavor. However I love the chocolate doughnut. It was rich chocolate flavor. More of a dark chocolate than milk chocolate. The broken down walnut and hazelnuts provide the needed crunch. To top it off, there was a mix powder of Monsieur Tuffe cocoa just to lift the flavor to the heavenly level. Doughboys constantly experience with new and interesting flavor such as maple bacon, toasted marshmallow and so on. I guess I just need to visit Doughboys more frequent as Doughnut from Doughboys was gracious.

Due to Doughboys popularity, their doughnuts also south at various locations. Please check out this link for your nearest nearby http://www.doughboysdoughnuts.com.au/
